Do you want to rule? Do you see the problems in your country and know how to fix them? How come rulers don't see them too? If only you had the power, you could change the course of history and leave everyone better off.

Nicholas was just like you. Nicholas wanted to take the best of traditional Russia and western modernity and put it together. That would solve all the problems. How come his predecessors failed to do it? It would be that easy.

Nicholas failed. He was shot in a dirty basement together with his family  after leading country to starvation and civil war killing millions. He was the Last Russian Tsar.

Was he just incompetent or was Russian Empire too fragile for modern world? You can face the same challenges and who knows? Maybe you will be different.

Last Tsar is a clone of mobile game Reigns, enriched (and tested for) heavy emphasis on story. 

Goal is to rule as long as possible by keeping balance power of four major forces - nobility, people and treasury. Throughout the game you will face various challenges not only in the terms of game mechanics but also your own moral views.
